I started my own business a little over seven years ago called AIMC Websites which eventually became AIMC Business Solutions a couple of years later, when we offered more business services with social media management and IT Consulting, among other services. It has been a great ride and there is no slowing down. The goal is to expand our network and help small businesses take the next step in their vision to success.
Ok, I did not answer the question yet. AIMC initially stood for All In My Cart, our internet marketing portal where our customers convert spending to earning. It has been a wild success, since it is a no brainer for our customers, since they can convert all their online shopping onto one website and build a little annuity doing so. I also cannot forget the great products in health/wellness and cosmetics too.
However, since the AIMC Business Solutions is a business services company, the "AIMC" needed to have more meaning in the business world. I have always had a successful career in IT and more recently in social media management and have learned that in any technical or marketing challenge is important to develop an operational process/ structure in everything you do.
Before you kick a project off the ground, you need to Assess (the "A") what you will need for financial and personal resources to design/define the system needed to meet the client's need. Assess is the most important part of the project, so there are no surprises later in the project.
Once the assessment and plan is complete, it is time to Implement (the "I") the system. Implementing in the IT World can be building the system, going through a pilot or test cycle, and then going live in production. In a social media campaign implementation, this would be the setup of the social platforms and activating all postings and interactions.
Once you go-live with an implementation, it is important to closely Monitor (the "M") how the new system is running or how the public is responding to a new social media campaign by reviewing analytics. The first 30-60 days are very important. Adjustments can be made and monitoring tools start providing good data on the system or campaign. After 60 days, the system should be a well greased machine!
Once the monitoring tools are in place it is important to stay on track and Control (the "C") how the system or social media campaign is performing. In the IT and Social Media world, it is making sure you are proactive and not reactive to customer needs. The IT System or Social Media Campaign cannot be a burden to the customer. This is why the Control phase is important and when we never lose sight of this.
So there it is Assess Implement Monitor Control - AIMC Business Solutions. If you need anything give drop us a message. We would be happy to help your business plan your next project!
Here is a blog of my world today. Internet marketing, social media, entrepreneurism, information technology, and organizational strategy means a lot to me. Hope you enjoy my blog.

Social Media is One Big Party
When I grew up, when you went to a party, you sneaked out of your house, gather your friends in the neighborhood and go to whatever friend's house where the parents went away and play some great 80s music. The social aspect was calling everyone on your analog phone or leaving written notes around the neighborhood about the big party happening that night. You play some shiny new music CDs and learn about what is going on by talking to people in person. You even find out about that surprise relationship again in person, seeing the two lovebirds getting chummy in the corner at the party. When the party is over, everyone went home and got on the phone with their friends until the wee hours. This was the 1980s going into the 1990s. Ah, those days, so simple, and full of surprises.
Fast forward to 2014. Things are getting complicated. You got Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Google Hangouts, Facetime, Skype and any other social platform of the month. The whole idea of a party is let's hide out in our basement, and do group texts on our iPhones, Driods, Windows phone, iPads or any other mobile device. Your party is now online instead of at someone's house. Everyone's idea of a hangout, is Google Hangout. The music, let's fire up some Spotify or Pandora and share some tunes online... again not in person. You want to meet someone, send a picture via Instagram and do some Snapchat. How many teenagers have a special someone that they have never met in person?
But look on the bright side. You can have an international party with people all over the globe sharing music and pictures from the comfort in your home in your jamas using social media. You can play and video record a song using your iPad and post it on YouTube for your friends on the other side of the world to see. Social Media has brought a new concept of the party.
So let's have a party this Saturday night and bring your mobile devices. Let's fire up some Pandora playing some processed EDM music and text and tweet each other while in the same room about how much they like the person next to them without actually looking at them and talking to them. If only the 1980s party concept came back. Would social media still be as relevant?

Thanks Amway For Ruining a Great Industry
I am investing in an amazing network marketing business to build a residual income so I can build a great retirement fund and never have to worry about money again. I wanted to get that out of the way first.
Network marketing, what is it? It is simply marketing and selling a product or service using a network. Just like affiliate marketing is marketing a product or services using an affiliate company or direct mail marketing which is marketing a product or service using direct marketing. See, network marketing is not really a dirty word. It is another way to market and sell a product or service.
But why when I mention what I do, I hear "scam", "pyramid scheme" or that question, "Is it Amway?"
Good ol' Amway, the company that has had legal trouble in the past but is doing better now. However, Amway has ruined a great industry to a point that 97% of our population would not touch a network marketing company to build a residual income. They rather work a second job, start a very expensive business or simply buy a lottery ticket every day and get psyched when they break even. 97% of our population is entrenched with the legacy way of go to school, get a job, get laid off and stay away from those "scams". Nothing like living on the edge, huh?
Interesting enough, network marketing is a clever business model. It is truly like an employee owned company. There is no "salary limit" since it is a business. You can make $2 a year or $2 million. It depends on your ambition, the company you are affiliated with and your network. Network marketing has turned that driven inspirational professional to top 1% income status in America. For a small investment under $500 for all the tools you need and a great network of positive people, with the strong possibility of making more money that you can make at that job, why won't anyone jump at the opportunity. After all, I broke even with my business in the first month and it has been all profit every since. Why do people run away? Because of frigging Amway! I'll ask again, what is so illegal about a business model that is built for people to control their own destiny? As long as the company has products or services of their own and people don't get paid on recruiting, then it is NOT illegal. You know what is illegal? Your job. Ask yourself, who makes the most money in your company? The CEO and shareholders, period. Pyramid scheme. Only 3% of our population get it and are successful in network marketing.
So if you are past the Amway thing and want to learn more about network marketing, there are many resources to do so. Get the facts about any business you are looking into. Check the Better Business Bureau to see how legit a company is. I did the same when I looked into my business and it was the best move I have ever made. Since I started my business six years ago, I am more outgoing, confident, successful, wealthier and most of all I have the ability to help anyone that wants to control their own destiny. I have gone through three layoffs in my corporate career and I always thank God I have my Plan B to fall back on. So, just like when you took a chance asking someone out that resulted in a relationship, made that extra sales call to meet your numbers or got in front of people to tackle your fear of speaking, you never know how successful you can be, unless you try. Don't let the 97% control your own destiny. I didn't and life is just wonderful.

Social Media and the Weather
When I was a kid, I always dreamed to be a weatherman. I used to keep track of the weather in my hometown of Cranston, RI writing down the high and low temperature and the weather conditions every day. I got my information from the good ol' Providence Journal. I used to marvel at thunderstorms and admired the how high and mighty thunderstorm clouds were. Of course, in Rhode Island you do not get the severe thunderstorms that the Midwest and South get, but the storms were nasty enough. I also was intrigued by the Blizzard of 1978. All snowstorms from that point forward was measured against that great storm. There was no Weather Channel then or Facebook, just the television news and newspaper. So you really didn't know how severe that storm was going to be until it happened.
I was thinking of going to school for meteorology, but the only school in the area was in Vermont and I was not about to go to school in northern Vermont. People in Rhode Island though Vermont was somewhere near Alaska. So I settled for Computer Engineering while maintaining an avid interest in weather.
Later on in my life, I experienced my first hurricane, Hurricane Bob in 1991. Hurricanes are a different puppy compared to Blizzards. What was really amazing was the preparation for such a storm. The technology was a little better then. We had the Weather Channel but no real internet. Bob was a pretty intense storm in Rhode Island. The Hurricane Barrier in Providence got activated which is worth seeing. There were trees down everywhere after the storm and we did not have power for a few days. The only way you knew about your friends or family status was when the phone lines were finally on-line. Again no real internet access or Facebook then.
Now comes 2011 and one of the most imminent hurricanes threats to New England in over 20 years. But boy are things different from a preparation perspective and how we all communicate. With social media, the game is totally different. I am getting up to the minute updates via Twitter and Facebook on my smartphone. For example, I just found out we are now in a hurricane warning in Massachusetts and Rhode Island from you guessed it, from my Facebook feed on my HTC Incredible Droid smartphone. I will be able to get the latest on the storm, stay in contact with friends, and perhaps even avoid danger knowing if the worst part of the storm is hitting my area. The Weather Channel has a live Facebook chat for the public to answer any questions they have. Wished we had that in 1991!
Think about it, you lose power, you can still use your smartphone and the social media sites. One recommendation is to keep your smartphone connected to a power source as much as possible during the storm in case power is lost. So hope to see my friends and family online during the storm. Please no Farmville requests! It is pretty amazing how far social media has taken us. It may save some lives this weekend in New England... Stay safe!

Network Marketing is the Real Deal
Do the household names Avon, Tupperware, Pampered Chef or P90X ring a bell to you? How about Isotonix, Transitions, Nutralite, Primerica or Partylite? All of these household names are part of the burgeoning network marketing industry that has generated over $125 billion in revenue in over 150 countries in 2010 and is growing on average 25-30% a year via over 75 million men and women who are in distributorships where they take pride in helping others.
As you probably figured out, I am a distributor for a very well known internet marketing company. The reason I got into the business was originally because the products and the mission of the company was nothing like I have ever seen. I also liked the fact that the company paid out over 60% of its revenue back as commissions to distributors of the company. But the biggest reason was I always had a calling to help people. My purpose at a networking event is to help people connect. My purpose in network marketing is to help people financially and with their well being. Where else for a very small capital investment, you can change your world and the world of others willing to open their mind.
It baffles me when I introduce to people to my business venture, that the old "it's a pyramid" or "scam" vocabulary is the first word out of their mouth. Later on they come to realize that some of the products that they are currently using are very much from the same network marketing companies that they claim is part of some pyramid. Finally, I always like to ask, so what are your options to make a little extra income and then there is silence....
Network marketing or otherwise known as direct selling is the original social networking business. Long before we even knew what a computer was, people were getting together for fun, socializing and shopping. Add in technological power and globalization, and you’ve got a winning formula for a fast growing and recession proof business. Network marketing or now known as social networking focuses on what people want. Check out your Facebook page and look at the ads. Chances are you will see ads focused on products from a leading network marketing company that you may be interested in.
The concept of network marketing is so intriguing. It eliminates the "middle man" distributing a product or service to the end consumer. There is no brick and mortar store or large numbers of salaried employees needed to move product and because some companies have hundreds of thousands , even millions of distributors, they essentially have independent contractors doing the bulk of product and service distribution and then paying them pretty handsomely on top of that. It is such a cool concept and it is fast becoming the wave of the near future.
So why is network marketing the real deal? It may be the only way to help solve the shrinking job market. Face it, we will never go back to pre-2007 employment levels. Network marketing may be the answer since it has a competitive advantage in the training that it offers, both in business and personal skills. It allows people to be retrained while they pursue something new. It gives an opportunity when no one else will. The shrinking job market will not do that.
